Colours of Summer: Country Road

When we were in Adelaide last week (I love this city btw! It was my first time as an adult in the city and the shopping, food and lifestyle was fantastic!!!) I got to do a spot of shopping (mostly Christmas shopping and a bit of window shopping (still a broke uni student *sad face*).

I couldn't help but notice the gorgeous summer colours in fashion right now! I am addicted to the bright and summery feel that every fashion outlet seems to have in stock.

I have a subscription to Country Road via email and often see what gorgeous stuff they have on offer (which is a blessing and a curse most days!) and I quickly popped into their Rundle Street store and got a glance at their stock in the flesh!

I am LOVING the colours!

I love this colourful combo! Those linen/cotton blend shorts are so cute and come in a heap of different colours!!

 

 

 

I can't get enough of "jelly shoes"!! I purchased a blue pair last summer when I was in the Greek Islands and love them! I bought a pair of these Country Road ones in black this year! The gold buckle and detail on top make them look a little more dressy!

I also cant go past the 'fedora' styled hat this summer! I didn't actually see this hat in store and wish I had because I love it! Its cool to be sun smart people! :)

 

 

 

 

I love a cute, breezy singlet that can be dressed up and down. This one also comes in yellow! I love this orange colour teamed with the sky/aqua colour - I'm really digging this colour right now!

 

Who doesn't love a fluro bight beach towel?! These towels are gorgeous and thick and come in heaps of different patterns! You wouldn't miss me at the beach with this doozy!

Take the Internet off me. I can't stop browsing the amazing world wide web full of gorgeous new season goodies begging me to buy them!

I am in no position to be spending my pennies on frivolous shopping but it doesn't stop my little heart fluttering every time I see something online that I love and want to buy. I can't help it. I'm a girl. Girls like shopping... I LOVE it! What I would love more is to graduate form uni and be earning a decent wage to support my strong love for retail therapy!

Is it spring already??

I don't know about you but lately, (since I got back to the "almost city" in stead of the spending my days in "the bush" aka my home town!) I have noticed that more and more retail stores are flogging the idea that "Spring is on the horizon" or "Spring is just around the corner".

I'm sitting here in my woollie pjs and have the heater cranked thinking, what the hell? Am I in the wrong hemisphere right now or am I right when I say, it's freakin' winter ya'll!!!!!!

As much as when the stores try and get their next season fashions out like super dooper early ticks me off, I have to admit that I am the sucker that gets roped in and loves to buy that pretty, sleeveless blouse waaay before its time to show my bare arms again!

With this in mind, here are some trends that I am totally digging by Witchery right now. These guys are the number one culprits for the "Spring is on the horizon" campaign, but pftt if their stuff is this cute I'll keep browsing and dreaming of spending my pennies (one I save some *damn uni budget*) in their store!!

Neon is so cute right now! This year I have become very very obsessed with yellow! I have never in my life been able to wear yellow, or at least I thought I couldn't. I'm sure there are tonnes of girlies out there like me, and unfortunately due to my very fair and pale skin, sometimes when I wear yellow on my top half (as in close to my face) I look sick. And I don't mean "sick" in a good way. BUT, since new shades and tones of yellow have popped up, and more accessories are coming out everywhere, I can revel in this awesome colour too!! 

Loving these cute skinnies by Witchery!! Not sold on the leather tee though? I'd more likely wear a white shirt with this outfit like the model. Cute either way!

I also love this silk boyfriend tee. I have seen it in person and its beautiful. This is so me. I'd probably wear it with some skinny denim jeans (as I'm a bit of a sucker for jeans) but with this tube skirt could dress it up too! Love love.

These beauties are called Mansell and would look so sweet in Spring/Summer! Not completely sold on the white but if I had the dollars I'd buy them anyway! Hint of yellow again! Love them!

Okay enough shop dreaming, "Being Lara Bingle" is about to start on channel ten. Haha, (TV obsessed), my aunt thinks I need to get a life, I just think I am addicted.

M.I.A

Hello Bloggy Friends! I am sorry that I have been M.I.A (missing in action) lately!

Last weekend I packed up my little car and my Dad's car, loaded the trailer and headed down South to the Riverina! I have relocated here to finally start my uni course for the year! Uni hasn't officially started yet (my first class is on Monday the 27th!! Exciting!) but I decided to take some time to unpack and set myself up in my new little unit off campus!

During this move I was Internet-less!!! I can't believe how much I missed having readily available Internet. I didn't realise how much I used and depended on it until I had none! Even Internet on my trusty IPhone was slow and almost non-existent.

 (It seems that my new unit is in a bit of a black-hole when it comes to internet service because I can't even get ADSL wireless net connected here... sad face!)

Anyhow, I am back home in the country this weekend to get a few more things that I forgot and to have a night out on the town with some close friends because I wont be seeing them for a little while when I'm full time at uni.

Thankfully I am taking back to uni with me a new USB internet connection and I will be online in my unit when I get back to Wagga on Sunday wooo!!

I have much more blogging to do now that things are getting busier in my life!

At the moment I am kicking back in my mums new lounge room! She's been slowly re-doing it since my Dad finally agreed to let go of a ridiculously old brown leather couch that we have been trying to convince him to get rid of for years! (He is a bit of a hoarder my dear Dad!)

Mum purchased 3 gorgeous new white leather couches and has decided on a blue and white theme. I love it! She is slowly getting bits and pieces together and is re-using most of our timber furniture that we already had in the room. Its a work in progress but it already feels nicer to sit in this room and relax or watch TV. Isn't it funny how you change a few things in a room and the "vibe" just feels nicer?!

I am also lusting over my new Tony Bianco Tupelo boots that just arrived in the PO Box yesterday! Ahh, I love them! I am so in love with Tony Bianco shoes and they are currently having an awesome sale online. Some of their top-selling heels are on sale! Get in quick to get your size!!
