My creative space - Christmas Crochet

I'm running pretty late for My Creative Space this week!! Work has been super busy, and Rog has been in the city so I've hardly had anytime to do anything this week (and tomorrow is Friday... Oh my God!! Where did the week go?!)
Anyhow, this week I started to work on some Christmas crochet by making some Christmas washcloths using the round washer pattern that I mentioned earlier in the week.

Using some Cascades Cotton Rich, these little Chrissie washer were whipped up very quickly. The second one has one row to go (the edging) and it's done! Using one skein of each colour so far I've managed to make 2 washers, and have plenty of yarn left to probably make another 2!! How great is that!?

I hope to get a lot more creative stuff done this weekend...

Quick Crochet

I love the instant gratification that you get from crochet. I find now that I'm a little more experienced in crochet I can whip up an easy project within the day (and sometimes within and hour or two!)

This afternoon I whipped up these Spring coasters, perfect for the warmer weather approaching!

They were sooo easy and quick, I made 4 coasters within the hour. I love them! I found the pattern on Ravelry and you can get the pdf link here.

I made them out of the gorgeous and ever handy Cascades Cotton Rich in a yummy pale green/cream colourway. I have a thing for these pale greens and creams at the moment! I'm loving them, they're perfect for Spring!

Until my next post, keep smiling!

Buttercup baby dress...

I just finished making this gorgeous Buttercup Baby Dress! I love it and even though I don't have kids (and no I'm not getting clucky!! lol) I really wanted to give one of these cute projects a go! It was super easy, I used this pattern with modificatins by my crochet teacher Jodie from Jellywares! I used some Cascades cotton rich yarn. It comes in some great colours and I thought that this bright buttercup yellow would look good, also I haven't used this colourway before so it's nice to use a different colour.

It was a great project that worked up super quick and used a couple of shell stitches which you can see in the pic above. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. It's a newborn size so now I just have to wait for someone to have a baby so I can give it to them! lol

Next I'm going to try and make another scarf in a gorgeous purple colour, maybe another cowl but this time a chunky one... still undecided.
I'm going to head over to Ravelry to find a new pattern. I've still got a gorgeous ball of Eco-Wool that I've been meaning to make a scarf out of for my sister Jessie. Might get that started too! Ah too many great projects, I wish I could spend all day being creative!!
